GRAN TEATRO DE LA HABANA ALICIA ALONSO

It is one of the most important cultural institutions in Cuba and Latin America. The building was erected between 1907 and 1914. It boasts attractive Neo-Baroque architecture and is full of carvings and stone sculptures. Charity, music, education and theatre are represented in the four white marble sculptures that appear on its façade.

This place, which is the image of the Ballet in Cuba, is also the venue for important international festivals, such as the Havana Ballet and Lyrical Art Festival, the Festival La Huella de España and the National Festival of Scenic Oral Narration, among others. In addition to its history and beautiful architecture, the Gran Teatro de La Habana enjoys excellent acoustics and hosts excellent performances at weekends.
